About the Item
The breath of sculpture is the distinctive originality of Andrea Cascella’s work, who belonged to a generation that since World War II has re-founded and re-invented the destiny of sculpture in its disciplinary specificity, rejecting its hybridizations, contaminations, excursions into selection and recreation of objects or conceptual dematerialization. Both as image and metaphor of human relationships, his sculpture constantly seeks a dimension of timeless presence, assuming the secular concreteness of a universal myth.
This sculpture is one of his latest works in which we can see his whole artistic ripening. Each of his sculptures is made up of many intersecting pieces.
