Antique Art Deco Sculpture Mice Signed H. Moreau Metal Bakelite Marble Bookends

About the Item

The two beautiful mice have been cast out of spelter and silver plated. The little creatures are playing with a deep red ball made out of bakelite. Mice and balls are mounted on marble bases. On of the pieces of marble has a small chip. The mice come with their original patina, however they can be polished to reveal their silver plated surface if so wished. The tails are signed by the sculptor Hippolyte François Moreau ( 1832 Dijon- 1926 )
