We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning original Circa 1900 Austrian Vienna cold paint bronze Statue / Watch holder by the wonder that is Franz Bergman.
Fully stamped to the base with the Franz Bergman Amphora monogram inside the Geschutzt foundry stamp. These pieces are as rare and collectable as they come, this is a large-scale piece, unlike his other desk trinkets which are usually around one quarter the size. Originally designed to hold a pocket watch in the mouth as a statement of style
In terms of the condition there is nothing to note other than good honest age and use related patina, to my hands and eyes it’s in museum quality.
