Charming hippopotamus by Dimitri Omersa.
The leather animals by Omersa were originally used as footstools but have since become popular Design Objects for indoor use.
The hippopotamus is in very good general condition , no missing parts, torn, seams etc.
The Design of the hippopotamus dates back to the 60s. This one was later manufactured in the 2000s to 2010, directly by the Omersa Company in England.
The cowhide has a beautiful brown patina with slight signs of use due to age.
Very solid workmanship, handmade.
