This sculptural object is a reflection upon the nordic-classicist architecture of Stockholm - produced by Marshall-Brown while on a long term graduate exchange between the Royal College of Art, London and Konstfack, Stockholm. The exchange was generously funded by the Anglo-Swedish society. The sculpture was press moulded using a complex multipart plaster mould. Inclusions were added to the clay body, so that when fired, they weep and ooze from the surface, creating small fissures and disturbances to the formal structure. Guy Marshall-Brown Guy Marshall-Brown is an artist, educator, and current practice-based research student - researching the relationship between architectural ruins and sculptural ceramic practice at University for the Creative Arts, UK.
