French Turn of the Century Cast Bronze Camel Statuette with Dark Patina, 1900s

About the Item

A French turn of the century bronze statuette from the early 20th century depicting a camel with two humps, showcasing great details and a dark patina. Cast in France during the Turn of the Century period which saw the transition between the 19th to the 20th century, this small bronze statuette depicts a bactrian camel standing elegantly on his four legs. Showcasing its two recognizable humps, the camel presents a nicely detailed coat, particularly visible on his neck, back and hips. His muscular face is turned slightly to his left, he is focused on a scene invisible to us. Firmly planted on his four paws, he exudes an undeniable air of majesty. Boasting a dark patina, this French cast bronze Turn of the Century camel statuette circa 1900 will make for a lovely decorative addition to any home, perhaps placed on the top of a commode, desk, console table or even a shelf.
