An Art Deco era sculpture of an ibex in a recumbent position by Joseph Martinek (American/Czech, 1915-1989), produced circa 1930s-1940s, hand-carved from a single piece of wood, mounted on an ebonized wood base. Markings include the artist's signature [Martinek] to the bottom of the sculpture. Very good condition, any wear consistent with age. 110073
