Large-scale Staffordshire pottery pearlware figure of a cow standing on a green floral base with a profusion of flowers. The figure is from the famous wood and Caldwell pottery who were based in Burslem Staffordshire. The tree trunk was made hollow to hold spills.( thin tapers of wood for lighting candles, lamps etc from the fire).
