About the Item

Toikka birds are handmade in Finland (Nuutajarvi) in a glass village that is over two hundred years old. Each piece is handmade, there are variations such as size and colors, no two pieces are exactly the same. Professor Oiva Toikka was one of the most important names in Finnish glass. Oiva Toikka was known for his glassware designs for the Finnish design company Iittala. Along with his glassware designs, Toikka is best known for his designs for the Iittala series "Birds by Toikka". From 1972 until his death in 2019, Toikka created more than 400 mouth-blown glass birds. Measures: Height: 12.5 centimeters Length: 22 centimeters Depth: 10 centimeters
