A pair of British Colonial painted terracotta lions from the mid-20th century. This vintage pair of lions from Kerala, India have each been created in a seated position with a single front leg or paw raised atop a shield, which is decorated with a single conch shell at center. This pair of lions have textured manes, and alert facial expression with gaping mouths. Tang Dynasty (618 - 907) Sancai glazed pottery horse The cream-glazed horse is naturalistically modelled standing on a rectangular base, with the mane, tail and hooves highlighted in amber glaze. The head is gracefully curved to the left, with a green and amber glazed saddle and blanket and foliate-shaped plaques detailed with moulded toads suspending from the trappings.
