Art Deco Bronze Signed "G. Gillot, " Pomone Edition
About the Item
This extremely highly stylized bronze sculpture by the French artist Gustave Gillot is a notch above your standard Art Deco sculpture. The rich patina and polychrome finish just add to its special quality. On top of all this, it is marked "Pomone" edition; this means it was displayed in the noted Art Deco designer Paul Follot's gallery and was made for his studio. We believe that this bronze was displayed in Follot's exhibition building during the 1925 Paris Exposition. This is one of the better Art Deco bronzes one can buy.
