Large Art Deco Bronze Figure of a Nude Woman on Marble Base, Ca. 1920

About the Item

This large and impressive bronze nude is high style art deco. This is not your typical fare. Her pose suggests great vibrancy and sexuality. While unsigned we know it was done by Marie Louise Simard. To appreciate the full value of this sculpture, you have to view it from all 4 sides as each one offers a different look. It is mounted on the original green marble base. While unsigned, we guarantee its authenticity in being a period French antique art deco bronze.

Mounted on a sienna marble base is always a plus, and not often used for sculpture. Artist signed "Vale", and also bearing the foundry signature and seal of Henry Schumacher...
