19th Century French Carved Terracotta Putti Sculpture Signed P. De Leonardi

About the Item

This large, charming, antique clay cherub composition was sculpted in France, circa 1880. The sculpture depicts two angelic children playing with a goat; the cherubs are nicely carved with detailed facial expressions and movement. The art work is signed on the base by the artist, “P. De Leonardi”. The sculpture is in excellent condition with a rich patinated finish. Place this piece on a mantel, shelf or tabletop for added beauty and texture. Pierre de Leonard was a French sculptor from late 19th century, early 20th century. Measures: 25" W x 10.5" D x 20" H.
