A beautiful sculpture by the Mexican artist, inspired by all these Mexican cultures. Carlos Mérida was a Guatemalan (active in Mexico) Impressionist & Modern artist who was born in 1891.
His work is currently being shown at Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block. Numerous key galleries and museums such as SFMOMA, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art have featured Carlos Mérida's work in the past.
Carlos Mérida's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 50 USD to 212,500 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. Since 1998 the record price for this artist at auction is 212,500 USD for El pequeño venado, sold at Christie's New York in 2019.
