    This stylish Austrain Art Deco sculputre of a dancer dates to the 1930s and its movement captures the energy of the time and was created by Stefan Dakon. Note: Overall the item measures 11 3/4" height x 5 1/2" wide x 3 1/4" depth. Note: The base measures 3 1/8 inch diameter x 2 3/8" height. Note: The bronze figure itself measures 9 1/16" height. Note: There are some inclusion spots on the alabaster (see images). FYI: "Stefan Dakon (1904–1992) was an Austrian artist worked in close association with Josef Lorenzl, producing many exciting bronze figurine sculptures of the Art Deco period. ABOUT THE SCULPTOR Alexandre Zeitlin (French/American, 1872 - 1946) was an outstanding sculptor known for his portrait busts. Alexander Zeitlin was born in Tiflis, Georgia (Russian Empire), in 1872. He held his first art exhibition in his hometown in his early teens. At first, the novice sculptor studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts (1890–1894), where his portrait busts of Archduke Otto were noted. He then studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
