This is an antique fish doorstop. An English, brass decorative door keeper, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Distinctive appearance with a traditional nautical 'folk' taste Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order Warm golden tones to the lightly patinated brass Redolent of traditional aquatic illustrations of fish Superb detail to the relief form, including layered scale motif Substantial in the hand with a weight of 2.42kg (5.33 lb) This is a fascinating antique fish doorstop, with great colour and appealing nautical overtones.
