About the Item
A superb example of a German well cast standing figure of a young standing gentleman on a naturalistic circular base. Late nineteenth, early twentieth Century.
The tall elegant figure shows a barefoot man wearing a long sleeve shirt, cropped long trousers and a trilby hat. Proudly supported on a well veined Sienna Marble plinth of octagonal outline.
Signed on marble base C HOLAND
Foundry Mark of AKT GEF GLADENBECK Berlin. (1851-1926).
Condition: Superb condition with wonderful patination, no losses to marble, Baise underneath has wonderful age-wear.
Measures: Height: (overall as shown) 12.25” (31cm). Width: (at base) 3.5” (9cm). Depth: (at base) 3.5” (9cm).
