Art Deco Bronze Female Statue Egyptian Inspired Headdress and Waist Treatment

About the Item

The Art Deco bronze statue portrays a striking sensuous female figure bending with poise and confidence while at the same time, her arms are bent behind her head. Her body exudes the sleek sexy and streamlined aesthetic of the Art Deco era, characterized by smooth geometric shapes and clean lines. The statue’s overall design pays homage to ancient Egyptian motifs, incorporating elements inspired by Egyptian art and culture. She is elevated on a silvered wooden platform that we made. The statue’s headdress draws from the iconic headpieces worn by Egyptian royalty. It features a stylized and geometric interpretation of a traditional Egyptian crown. The headdress is adorned with intricate patterns, geometric motifs, and perhaps even small inlaid gemstones, reflecting the opulence and grandeur of Egyptian royalty. Moving down, although bare-breasted, the statue’s waist treatment is influenced by the intricate and symbolic waist adornments worn by Egyptian goddesses and noblewomen. It showcases geometric patterns and triangular symbols. The combination of the Art Deco style and the Egyptian-inspired headdress and waist treatment creates a captivating fusion of ancient and modern aesthetics. The statue captures the elegance, glamour, and cultural fascination of the Art Deco era while paying homage to the timeless allure of ancient Egypt. This is a period piece I recently purchased in France, although unsigned, it was obviously designed by a master artist possibly too shy to put his (or her name on it). A quality unique bronze in every way.

  • Egyptian Antique Bronze Seated Statue of Harpokrates
    Located in Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire
An interesting and unusual Egyptian bronze seated figure portraying the youthful god Harpokrates (Horus the child). The figure sits unclothed with legs bent and both arms resting by his sides. His face is indistinctly molded with a wide nose and with a sidelock of hair. He wears a Pschent crown. The figure, which is removable, has a later carved and fitted oak throne. The figure has an all over black patina. The figure does have some antique age although may be an Egyptian revival piece and would benefit from further research. We are therefore offering this as a later example and priced accordingly. Harpokrates was one of the most popular deities in the Egyptian pantheon. He was the offspring...
