Benin African Art Tribal Bronze Relief Sculpture Plaque

About the Item

Striking and detailed bronze relief sculpture from Benin, now known as Nigeria, in Africa. This piece was modeled after ancient Benin bronzes, but is from the 20th Century. The intricate imagery was sculpted in high relief by hand and then cast in bronze using the lost wax process. A similar plaque is available in a separate listing, if you would like a set.
