Maher, was a renowned artist whose drawings, paintings and sculptures reflected an innate appreciation for the human form in all its beauty and imperfections. His work message also conveys self-confidence and acceptance. He received a National Academy School of Fine Arts Award May 23, 1968. The sculpture is signed Maher.
