Chinese Su Sanci Glazed Horse Figure and Boy, Kangxi Period, 18th Century

About the Item

Chinese Su Sanci glazed figure of a horse and a boy. Sancai decoration uses glazes predominantly in three colours: brown or amber, green or creamy white with the more rare use of blue. While particularly associated with the Tang dynasty tomb figures, this figure is believed to date from the 18th century - the blue glaze shows some iridescence, typical of the period.
