French 19th Century Patinated Bronze and Ormolu Statue of a Pheasant
About the Item
A stunning and large scale French 19th century patinated bronze and ormolu statue of a pheasant signed Jules Moigniez. The bronze is elevated above a mottled oval shaped ormolu base. The regal pheasant is stands proudly with one leg on a rock and the other of a broken tree branch. The pheasant is looking downwards with a wonderful expression amidst vegetation. Exquisite detail throughout and retaining its original warm and rich patina.
