French Art Deco Diana the Huntress Bronze by S. Melanie 1930s

About the Item

French Art Deco Diana the Huntress Bronze by S. Melanie 1930s, crafted in the 1930s, stands as a testament to the artistic brilliance of the era. This extraordinary sculpture exudes a commanding presence through its size, weight, and the dynamic posture of the goddess Diana. With a blend of exquisite craftsmanship and an evocative portrayal, this piece captures the essence of the Art Deco movement, showcasing the intersection of modernity, elegance, and classical mythology. Diana is depicted in a moment of poised intensity. Her body is rendered with remarkable attention to detail. In her hands, Diana cradles a powerful bow, a symbol of her prowess as a skilled archer. The bow is executed with precision, displaying an intricate interplay of curves and angles that exemplifies the geometric aesthetic characteristic of the Art Deco movement. Its sleek, streamlined design harmoniously complements the figure of Diana. Salvatore Melani is an Italian artist (1902-1932) The bronze rests on a black/white marble plinth. Diana the Huntress with her bow and attitude, excuses the artistic details representing this iconic Art Deco image. The condition is excellent and a very rare piece not seen before by Melani.
