French Bronze Grand Tour Style 'Atlas' Model of a Kinetic Armillary France, 20th century, Unsigned This is a copy or model of an armory; it is not guaranteed to work. The five-ring orb moves and has numerous display or suspended motion positions. A substantial work depicting a well-cast, highly detailed classical nude figure of Atlas with a fig leaf. Supporting a 14-inch-diameter kinetic/moveable five-ring armament inscribed with months, equatorials, and planets in French. Overall measurements: 36 inches high x 10-inch square base The five-ring armature measures 6.5 inches in diameter to 14 inches in diameter. The bronze figure of Atlas alone measures 11- inches wide by 22- inches high.
