A stunning and very high quality Italian 19th century white Carrara marble statue on its original Vert de Patricia marble pedestal signed Barbieri. The statue is raised on its original most elegant Vert de Patricia marble pedestal column with a fine octagonal base, mottled socle shape support below the beautiful baluster shaped fluted central support, and circular top with a lovely reeded border. The charming wonderfully executed white Carrara marble statue above is raised on a circular mottled base with a finely detailed ground like design. Above is a young boy draped in a richly sculpted flowing garment with a satchel over his shoulder. The young boy is riding a finely detailed goose with wonderful attention to detail throughout.
