About the Item
Large statue in regule metal representing a fireman of the city of Paris, under the Third Republic, in full action. The fireman, with a lance in his hand, is stationed on a roof, more precisely on a roof window, trying to put out a fire.
Medal patina by German sculptor Henry Weïsse (19th-20th century), signed on the terrace.
The statue is dated late 19th, early 20th.
This sculpture rests on a circular wooden base and green marble. A testament to these heroes who fight tirelessly to save lives, “Soldier of Fire” is a work that is faithfully realized and imbued with authenticity.
On the base, it is marked «Au feu! By H Weisse»
It is an excellent object of decoration or collection for a (ex) firefighter, a firefighter, a fire station, etc ...
The size of the statue is very large and the object is heavy.
