Miguel Berrocal
Miguel Ortiz Berrocal was a renowned Spanish artist, born on September 28, 1933, in Villanueva de Algaidas, Spain, and passed away on May 31, 2006, in Antequera, Spain. Pages 24-25 : Parmi beaucoup d'autres sculptures, son "OMAGGIO AD ARCIMBOLDO", est, de ce point de vue, une réussite complète. Arcimboldo, on le sait, est l'un des artistes les plus énigmatiques de l'histoire de la peinture. Né en 1527 à Milan, il passa 26 ans à Prague où il fut au service, successivement, des empereurs Ferdinand Ier et Rodolphe II, qui le couvrit d'or et d'honneurs. Les têtes composées qu'il a peintes en grand nombre combinent métophoriquement des fruits, des fleurs, des légumes, des racines, des poissons...
