About the Item
The Muses are elegant ceramic figurines designed by the Belgian sculptor Renaat Ramon, representing the daughters of the Greek mythological gods Zeus and Mnemosyne. In ancient tales, the Muses are regarded as inspirational goddesses of literature, science and the arts. The subtle femininity and the contrast between sharp and smooth lines make these figurines enrapturing and eye-catching art objects. Handmade in a Brazilian ceramic studio.

About The Artist:
Renaat Ramon is a Belgian artist of many talents: poet, essayist and sculptor. He is known for his monumental sculptures, constructivist installations, jewelry, furniture design and architecture projects. Although Ramon, as a sculptor, is an adept of constructivism and geometric abstraction, he is an admirer of the “noble simplicity and quiet grandeur” (J. Winckelmann) of Classic art.
