Nicky Imber (Austrian/Israeli 1920-1996) Bronze Sculture of Rabbi Reading Torah

About the Item

Holocaust survivor Nicky Imber (1920-1996) was a multidisciplinary artist best known for his sculptures on Jewish themes. After escaping the Nazi concentration camp in Dachau, he pledged to dedicate his art to perpetuating the memory of the Holocaust. Among his more famous works are "The Hope" and "The Love of Torah." His work can be seen around the world, in Northern Israel, the Vatican, the United States, and the Venezuela Children's Prehistoric Park. This bronze sculpture measures 8" W x 8"D x 9.5" tall and depicts a Rabbi in deep thought with his arm holding his head while reading Torah. Mounted on a black laminated wood base. The piece is also signed on the side as shown.
