About the Item
"Our skin is a packaging that separates us from the external environment.
Without our mouth, nose, ears, eyes, we would be isolated in our own shell, within ourselves, without receiving stimuli and feeling the beauties of our world.
These orifices are our doors, a direct path to our electric, damp, pulsating, involuntary interior. Each access with its purpose – taste, smell, hearing and sight – but which together allow us to build each individual's unique perception of the world around them.""
How can we not connect with something as human as our senses?
They are responsible for shaping our perceptions of the world around us and are collected through various openings in our bodies.
The artwork materializes these sensory devices as small modules that fit together like tiles. The skin turns into clay, the shape of the body transforms into a plane, and the interconnected sensory devices capture all the perceptions around them.

Breve
We are a ceramic studio that blends traditional craftsmanship with digital technology in experiments that take on various forms, functions, and scales, with clay as its main medium.
Breve is about not being confined to a single idea, technique, or style.
With each collection, a clash of ideas guides the creation process.
The pieces are materialized through experimentation with techniques and processes that lead to a unique and distinctive outcome for each collection. They encompass utility, decorative objects, and works of art that explore the infinite universe of ceramics.

Together with Wurman's one of a kind polymer sculptures; resulting in art and alchemy. Wurman utilizes a blend of EVA hot-melt adhesive and though his proprietary techniques, transforms this common industrial material into a unique medium of extreme clarity, color and dynamic beauty, with the flexibility of rubber, look of glass and durability of plastic.
