About the Item
These fine and large French candelabra date from the Empire period of the 19th century and beautifully contrast the different finishes of gilt and patinated bronze. Each piece is modeled as a full length female figure holding aloft a five light candelabrum. Each figure is standing on a ball above a square plinth base; the base is decorated with floral swags.
