About the Item
Pair of bronze statutes, representing two gigantic Nubians carrying, one in his right hand and the other in his left hand, a torch.
It is an extraordinary work of the middle of the XXth century.
Dimensions: height: 240cm
diameter of the base: 45cm
We will notice the detailed work of the sculptor and the founder giving life to these two colossi with an omnipresent attention to detail.
Their flames radiate, flood and warm, thanks to their slender shapes and the light of their gilding.
Their deep gazes turned towards their destinies, reminds us of the weight of life to carry, and gives meaning to our gravity, they reveal to us the difficulties in rising.
Their bodies, as if oiled, highlight with precision, their athletic muscles or shoulders, biceps, pectorals, abdominals and quadriceps are sublimated by the brown patina of bronze.
They give us the confidence, the strength, the courage to face any difficulties.
Their neat curls with a lighter patina only confirm their origins. A vast territory, mostly covered with sandy deserts and arid mountains, whose powerful beauty is fascinating.
Their loincloths, entirely re-gilded with gold leaf, have required, like their flames, several operations to obtain such a shine.
We would like to thank "Atelier Henda Bayoudh" for its know-how and the various operations carried out, degreasing, shellac with varnish, applying the mixture to grab the gold leaves, then matting, which make our two Nubians radiate nitescence.
It is the artist's inspiration that is the prelude to all creativity.
These works of art produced with passion and with the concern for the perfection of the artist and the founder, during each step of the creation, give each bronze work its pledge of eternity.
