Caverna Contemporary Sculpture, by Eduard Locota resin Acrylic Glass & Marble
Located in Timisoara, RO
The sculptural group “Abstract Isometry” has been gravitating around the theme of fragmentation, slicing of the Earth and plasticity. In the contemporary context, channeled almost exclusively on our natural resources, once abundant natural resources such as fossil fuel, water and even clean oxygen, become rare commodities. In the current context focused on excessive and unsustainable consumerism, the 21st century welcomes us with a Darwinian transformation for both men and nature. Evolution which leads to the development of a synthetic man living in a synthetic nature. Heavy topics as regeneration and sustainable environment are thrown into the arms of the future generations, that have not been born yet. Thus, the artist’s creations highlight the synthesis through alternative materials used, such as: synthetic marble (resin and marble dust), synthetic resin (Plexiglass), synthetic cement (Jesmonite), charcoal, wood, and so on. His works have a powerful conceptual plasticity but also physical plasticity, a concept that can be interpreted as modern works of the 21st century. Unique Because the artwork is entirely handcrafted and made to order; build process takes approximately 3-4 weeks for each artwork. Every artwork is hand-sculpted, molded and finished by hand by the artist himself. Because of this special build process, there will be small differences between every edition, thus unique, unique in the world. In addition to the artists signature on the piece of art, you will receive a “Certificate of Authenticity” signed and dated by Eduard Locota himself. Sculptural design piece, that will last for hundreds if not thousands of years. Memorable We here present you a contrasting composition with a memorable design. This extremely clean and Minimalist artwork produce the strong recognizable style of Eduard Locota that will lights up the space it will be placed in, as well as lift the eyebrows of the audience. Ultra limited edition of 19 pieces + 2AP. Acrylic glass and cultured marble...

Hlin, Teal & Aqua Glass & Oak Unique Sculpture by Backhaus & Brown and Egeværk
Located in London, GB
Fine cabinet making & crafted oak with handblown & cut teal aqua glass combine to create this unique sculpture "Hlin" from the Glasskibe Collection (Hlin is the 5th asynje (goddess) and Frigg's messenger. Her job is to comfort, receive the prayers of the mourners and transfer them to Frigg to get a reply - from Norse mythology) created in collaboration by the Danish and British artists making up Backhaus & Brown and Egeværk. The Danish town of Hundested is steeped in maritime history and richly from the Viking Age. It is the majestic imagery of the Viking ships passing that has inspired two of the harbour’s contemporary craft companies; cabinetmakers Egeværk and glass artists Backhaus & Brown. These two award-winning workshops have combined their masterful crafts in an innovative collaboration; namely a series of sculptures named ”Glasskibe” – Viking ships in hand-blown glass and carved oak. Artworks from this collection have been sold to many private collectors but have also been purchased for the Vikingskipshuset, the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo and more recently, shown at the Danish Pavilion during the 2016 Olympics in Rio. A unique collaboration in the truest sense, drawing on the skills of two crafts, based in two workshops and from two Nationalities, British and Danish. Backhaus & Brown Nanna Backhaus Brown (Danish) and Andrew Jason Brown...

Jim Rose Barn House Structure, Welded Steel Object Made with Salvaged Steel
Located in Chicago, IL
This is a welded steel sculpture made by furniture creator Jim Rose. It is sustainable design created from salvaged and recycled steel panels left over from his larger projects. These sculptures reference traditional American Folk Art barn house models or bird houses. This sculpture works alone on a shelf or table or can be grouped with other house sculptures by the artist. Each house sculpture is unique in design and color. Jim Rose Structure #174 found steel Measures: 6 H x 2.75 W x 5.88 D in 15.24 H x 6.99 W x 14.92 D cm Jim Rose b. 1966 Bio Born in Indiana, Jim Rose lived in Europe until he returned to the United States to attend college. After one year at Bard College, Jim transferred to the School of the Art Institute in Chicago (SAIC) where he graduated in 1988 with a BFA. His skillful interpretation of the Shaker design is a result of intense research and field study of Shaker furniture, architecture, culture and history. After over two decades of dedicated work, he has mastered the minimalism of the Shaker technique and created his own unique visual vernacular. The quilts of Gee's Bend have become a monumental influence taking this artist's work to new levels of unique interpretation and artistry. His selection of aged steel results in a patina directly related to that of aged wood while his colored strips beautifully mimic worn cloth. Each piece of furniture is masterfully made and intended for daily use. Jim Rose’s steel furniture is featured every year at SOFA Chicago for the past 25 years.
