Signed on back R Capron. Roger Capron was a prominent French ceramicist and designer, (1922-2006). He is best known for his pioneering work in ceramics and for being the founder of Atelier Callis in Vallauris, France. Capron was known for incorporating abstract forms and vibrant colors into his ceramic work. His pieces often feature geometric patterns and lively motifs that reflect the coastal atmosphere of Vallauris. He also experimented with various glazes and techniques to create unique textures and surfaces on his ceramic objects.
