Sculpture Scream of Munch

About the Item

Murano blown glass sculpture created by master glassmaker Sergio Costantini. Tribute to painter Edvard Munch and his famous work depicting anxiety. This work is signed by the master on the lower part precisely on the base It is intact and has not been repaired It is made with lampwork-the technique that for centuries has created a solitary face-to-face relationship between master fire and glass material. Giving off the heat needed to melt the glass was the flame of a lamp lamp powered by air conveyed by a foot-operated bellows. Over the years it has been replaced by a "metal canello" connected to a gas cylinder. The starting point is almost always a glass sphere, which is shaped by the master while hot, also using pliers to stretch the glass and scissors to cut and a knife to create sinking and concavities.
