Staffordshire Pottery pearlware bocage figure with a musical theme which features a couple seated before a tree, playing musical instruments. Sheep and dogs around them, seated on a shaped base. Decorated 'in the round' - decoration to front and reverse. Open bottomed. Book reference, 'People, Passions, Pastimes and Pleasures. Staffordshire figures 1810-1835', by Myrna Schkolne, page 240.

    Good. Chip to the end of his clarinet and chip to leaf on reverse. Some small flakes to animal's ears. Paint losses to ground. RESTORATION. Reglued leaf on bocage. Her left arm and top of lute with restoration. Retouched paint losses to ground, rever.
