Vintage Grecian Copper Clad over Gesso Sculpture
About the Item
This oversize and rare 19th century patinated copper clad sculpture is designed with a beautifully rendered Grecian girl. This girl, costumed in a flowing garment, is positioned in front of a stone bearing a large decorated urn atop. The vintage sculpture is French in origin and is an exceptionally high quality representative figure of this era, but is not signed. It is made up of two pieces, as the urn is detachable. This urn has a stem at its base that inserts into a hole on the pedestal top.
