About the Item
These beautiful antique marble figures are truly timeless works of sculpture, though they are almost 300 years old, they will still make joyous additions to a classical or antiques,inspired interior. The figures depict reclining putti with dogs, and each figure is an allegorical representation of war and peace, War with a quiver of arrows and peace with a bunch of grapes.
These kinds of allegorical uses of depictions putti were popular among elite households in the 18th century, when these figures were made. The putti figures are shown on naturalistic bases, and they have the following dimensions:

Odoardo Fantacchiotti (11 May 1811–4 June 1877) was an Italian sculptor of the late-Neoclassic period. He was born in Rome, but his family moved to Florence.
