"La Fausse Monnaie, " Resin Sculpture by Gilles Charbin, France, 1977

About the Item

"La fausse monnaie" is a unique resin sculpture with inclusions made by the artist Gilles Charbin, from an exclusive private collection of about twenty five sculptures, made between 1970 and 1980. Each sculpture is named as one of the "petits poe'mes en prose" by Charles Baudelaire. The artist worked the resin in the manner of a painter, through the additional process of subtle layering. Signed and dated 1977. Dimensions listed are only those of sculpture, without support or pedestal. A more complete information document in PDF format is available on request.
