'Vintage Rare' Shiro Kuramata Aluminio Hanger Purple

Hanger "ALUMINIO" designed by Shiro Kuramata. Named "Aluminio," meaning "aluminum" in Greek, this series of hangers has multiple designs and color variations, with anodized aluminum shafts and decorated with rubber and resin parts. These hangers were sold at the "SPIRAL" store in the basement of the Roppongi AXIS building at the time. This is a rare and discontinued product. Many of you may remember the impressive display of many "ALUMINIO" pieces hanging from the ceiling like mobiles at the "Shiro Kuramata and Ettore Sottsass Exhibition" in 2011. He is internationally recognized for his unique designs, which are not based on Western forms, but rather on Japanese culture and aesthetics, for which he was awarded the Order of Arts and Letters of the French Ministry of Culture.
