Antique Mill Wheel carved from Iron Wood. Antique Mill Wheel Peanut Grinder mounted on stand. The Mill Wheel is carved from one solid block of Iron wood, with a deep track pattern. The wheel itself is 6 inches thick and 19 inches wide. This type of mill was used to crush nuts, specifically peanuts into a paste. A antique utilitarian farm mill mounted on a solid two part teak wood stand for display. The Mill Wheel is secured to an iron pedestal mount that can also be easily lifted off from the stand and set on a console, mantel, or shelf for a different display. See pictures. Primitive in nature with a natural modernist minimal sensibility. A beautiful handmade carved wooden cog reclaimed as modern utilitarian art. In good condition as pictured. The Mill Wheel is antique and was reclaimed and adapted into this art piece in 2005.
