French Iron Mercantile Scale on Custom Stand, a Great Decorative Piece
About the Item
A French iron scale from the mid-20th century presented on custom iron stand. This vintage scale from France is a sizable piece, being over 3.5 feet in length, and features an elongated central bar, with double-hooked ends, and connecting to top at center by the mechanism which is housed with a ridged double bar post, secured and topped with an o-ring. The iron is primarily black, with a wonderful old patina and rusty areas throughout. It is nicely displayed on a new custom iron stand. This French mercantile scale has a warm, simplistic, and appealing design aesthetic, which easily lend's itself to be reinvented in current day use as a beautiful decoration.
