The lapidary work applied to it is spotless, and Cerium Oxide was used in the final polishing process, granting this specimen a jewelry-like finish and shine. Discovered in Diamantina, Brazil, a center of diamond mining during the 18th and 19th centuries, it now yields the most astonishingly super-clear, high-energy quartz in the world.
