Rare Tabletop Amethyst Formation with Calcites Goethite & Quartz

About the Item

A very rare and exquisite table-top amethyst formation. The long formation preserves prominent golden calcites crystal on a bed of deep purple amethyst and is particularly sculptural. The calcites are covered in rare goethite and white quartz, creating an intense sparkle. The piece has been cut from a larger geode, formed within volcanic rock over millions of years. The borders preserve the wonderful layers of green celadonite and exteriorly the rough basalt, allowing us to appreciate the formation process. Legally and ethically sourced directly from the prestigious mines of Artigas, Uruguay. An exceptional and rare piece, unusual for its size and variety of crystal formations.
