A specimen from Wunderkammer: the tail of a barracuda fish (sphyraena barracuda). An example of a natural specimen intended to be suspended, consists of the tail of a barracuda (sphyraena barracuda). This is mounted on a chiselled bronze foil element, depicting acanthus leaves and fruits. An upper hook allowed hanging. Italy circa 1870.
