Vintage Organic Modern Solid Teak Burlwood Planter Sculpture

About the Item

Introducing a solid teak sculpture hand-carved from a rare burlwood portion of the coveted Burmese teak tree. Burlwood results from harvesting a tree or a portion of a tree that has a burl. A burl is a growth on a tree formed from unsprouted bud tissue. The burl forms large, knobby-looking growths on the base and trunk of the tree and is renowned for its exquisite grain patterns and rarity. Able to double as a small planter for succulents, mosses or other small house plants or as a small display holder this extraordinary piece is sure to make a BOLD impression on any space it inhabits. With rich burlwood teak woodgrains, its organic asymmetrical shape and ability to function as a planter this versatile piece is ideal for collectors and designers alike searching for the perfect Organic Modern accent piece. Truly one of a kind so when it's gone it's gone forever. Make it yours today. ---Dimensions--- Width: 8 in / 20.32 cm Depth: 8 in / 20.32 cm Height: 19 in / 48.26 cm Condition Details: This solid teak sculpture is in 100% original, vintage condition and has aged to perfection.
