Set of Three Sommerso Perfume Bottles attributed to Archimede Seguso, 1950

About the Item

Set of three sommerso perfume bottles in gold and pink colors. Made in Italy, attributed to Archimede Seguso. The technique of blowing Murano glass is called "sommerso" which means submerged. This technique is used to create several layers of glass (usually with different contrasting colors) inside a single object, giving the illusion of “immersed” colors that lay on top of each other without mixing. The result is a glass with contrasting colors that is usually surrounded by a transparent layer. Perfect Vintage Condition exept for a slight chip on the clear glass cap of a bottle (please see the last picture). The lowest bottle measures cm 7 X H cm 9. Can be sold individually.
