About the Item
This fine pair of ribbed porcelain vases or Potpourri vases are based on a Berlin Kannelierte Porpourri pair. Hand painted in Austria, the pair were sent to France for the gilt bronze laurel wreaths, and lion mask handles, as the french were the best guilders and bronze casters in the world. The pair are painted with colorful and life like floral arrangements. Oval figural scenes on the front and back. Each scene shows a young couple flirtatiously speaking in gardens.
