About the Item
A pair of Japanese bronze finish Aesthetic Movement covered censors. The highly detailed bodes with birds and branches resting on a beautifully detailed base. The lids have an elaborate cast bird sculpture finial with subtle pierced areas. The interior have mounts that suggest these may have been lamped at one time. These are highly decorative impressive sized garniture pieces.
