South American Crystals Raised to High Design In 2017, challenged by the purpose of fair trade, ethical production and social commitment, the industrial designers Cecilia Casafua and Alfonso Martinez partnered to create ESTUDIO TOSCA: the only uruguayan industrial design company focused on the creation of contemporary high-design interior elements made of precious gemstones such as Agate, Amethyst, Jasper and Quartz. The studio -that works under the premise of adding value to the whole chain- has developed a series of high-end, luxury and functional home objects which are produced by artisans whose work is highly valued and fairly paid, without intermediaries, and who also receive training from Alfonso and Cecilia. Tosca’s one of a kind pieces have been exhibited at shows in Europe and quoted by prestigious press such as Monocle and Wallpaper.
